This Community Services Resource Directory was prepared to help families
with children with special needs, health care and social services providers, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and advocates to find listings
for community services throughout the District of Columbia and some national organizations with headquarters or offices here.

Services for adults and the elderly are included in this directory, since many children with special needs have parents, grandparents, and other caregivers

who need such services and ask for help in locating them.

Though this is a fairly comprehensive listing of community resources, we do not claim to have listed all of them. We cannot possibly know about every resource, and organizations may have opened or closed since research was begun. Addresses and telephone numbers are also subject to change without notice. (When sources did not answer the phone or respond to our inquiry messages

after three attempts, they were not included in this directory.)
