Non-clinical Positions

Care Manager/RN, LICSW/Care CoordinationDays/FTThe Care Manager manages the care coordination health and medically appropriate services for members who have moderate to complex medical and mental/behavioral health service coordination needs. An Assosicates degree in nursing or a Master's degree in a Social Work is required. A current licensure in the District of Columbia is required. The incumbent must be able to practice independently at the professional level. A minimum of two years experience in direct service delivery, care coordination or utilization management for target population within settings such as: Managed Care, Home Care, Acute Care, Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Treatment. Consideration will be given to incumbent staff with one year HSCSN care management experience who are newly licensed in a health field to practice independently, and who have demonstrated proficiencies required in the duties and responsibilities listed above. There will be up to a one-year introductory period of internship before assuming full responsibility for the assigned caseload. Assistant Director of Utilization Management/Care CoordinationFull-time/DaysThe Assistant Director of Utilization Management provides assistance with day to day supervision of the daily operations of the Care Coordination department. The Assistant Director insures that operations are consistent with departmental policies and procedures and in compliance with NCQA accreditation standards at all times. This individual must be able to resolve challenging situations while maintaining positive relationships. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required. A Master’s degree in a related area is preferred. Five years of progressively responsible experience in Case Management/Utilization Management/Disease Management preferably in a health care setting is required. Two to three years experience in direct supervision of a Case Management/Utilizations Management/Disease Management staff. Clinical experience in an acute care setting, pediatrics is preferred. Director of Account Management and Provider Operations/Provider OperationsFull-time/DaysThe Director of Account Management/Provider Operations will lead the credentialing and provider affairs activities to ensure that the terms of the CASSIP contract are being met by all departments of HSCSN. The Director will lead and direct all activities associated with contract compliance, credentialing, and provider operations, as well as working with staff at all levels to ensure that company goals and objectives are met. A Bachelor’s degree is required a Master’s degree is preferred. This individual must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization including patients, families and external individuals, groups and agencies. The Director must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and make appropriate decisions to assure completion of tasks on time and demonstrate flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned. This individual must possess an appropriate professional demeanor to represent HSC to internal and external constituents and have experience working under stress and getting things done through others. This individual will be experienced in solving problems of a complex nature and have at least three years of MCO management experience and significant experience in working with accreditation and licensure agencies in the health plan environment. Proficiency with MS Office applications is a must. The Director must be proficient in the use of personal computers including spreadsheet analysis, presentation graphics and word processing with highly developed oral, written and organizational skills.
